Special Events For This Year Include

BOB STROLLER 5K

This event is for moms who would like to run or walk with their children in a baby jogger/stroller. This will be the only division where strollers will be allowed. Participants will start with the walkers and will be timed. The top three finishers will receive a FREE BOB Revolution Stroller!!

                           

 

HARMONY GARDEN GIRLS POWER CHALLENGE
This event is for teams of girls age 18 and under. Participation is open to sports teams (i.e. cross country, track, basketball, soccer, etc.), school clubs, organization. A prize will be given to the three teams that have the most girls running/walking—teams can include runners and walkers as well as members participating in the 10K and 5K.
  • First Place will receive a $300 donation for their team/organization.
  • Second Place will receive a $200 donation for their team/organization.
  • Third Place will receive a $100 donation for their team/organization.

All team members who pre-register will receive a $5 discount. There is on-line registration for Girls Power Challenge teams -- you must indicate a Team Name to be included as part of your team.   Any teams that register race day will have to pay the race day registration fee of $25 -- there will be no special discount on race day. BALEGA LIL' BUG KIDS FUN RUN, 1 MILER & KIDS FEST

The Balega Lil' Bug Kids Fun Run & 1 Miler is for boys and girls age 12 and under.  The distances will vary by age group up to 1 mile.  All Lil' Bug participants will receive a race t-shirt, finisher's medal, goody bag and post-race snacks.  From 8:00 a.m. -- 11:00 a.m. there is also a Kids Fest that includes: pony rides, a petting zoo, Mr. Cowpie, organized games and activities, tattoos, balloon art and more!

A portion of the proceeds from the Lil’ Bug events will benefit the Ethembeni School located in South Africa.  The Ethembeni School is home to 300 disabled and disadvantaged children who live and study at the school.
